Having played on both sides and on all types of servers, here’s some general observations:

-Alliance has better cities with regards to visuals, layout, and the general ease of finding what you need. Alliance-dominated areas, with the exception of Nagrand (which I think is the Orc’s), are more beautiful as well.

-Horde characters have more interesting back stories - you have the Blood Elves, who were almost all killed off; the always angsty Forsaken; the Orcs who are basically aliens; the Tauren who are just big hippies living on a mountain, etc etc etc…

-Player-wise, both factions have their share of nice people as well as their share of complete morons. It’s especially hilarious to see how trade chat differs on both factions, but more so how similar it is. Once I went from Orgrimmar to Stormwind (same realm), and the conversations were basically identical - lots of poop jokes and item linking. In battlegrounds there’s inevitably the same complaints made about the other side being more organized or having more/less 12-year-olds on it. Players are more alike than they’d care to admit, regardless of faction ;)

-Race: Forsaken and Draenei. I personally don’t want to be anything that looks very human (ie gnomes, dwarves, blood elves). I get enough of that in real life.

tl;dr: TRUE NEUTRAL, and also, tater twats.
